VENANCIO SALCINES VISITS THE CUEVAS Y CÍA FACTORY

At the beginning of the week, we welcomed Venancio Salcines, economist, professor and president of CESUGA, along with part of his team, to the Cuevas y Cía factory. The purpose of the visit was to see first-hand where the magic of Cuevas' delicate marron glacé comes from and to explore possible avenues for collaboration in training, innovation and joint development, seeking synergies between the university and the food industry.

The visit was guided by Rocío Cid, manager of Cuevas y Cía, who presented the facilities and explained each phase of the meticulous, artisanal process of making our forest soul. The visit was also accompanied by Carlos Costa, commercial director of Grupo Cuevas.

Venancio had the opportunity to see our processes first-hand, discover new products and, of course, taste our exquisite freshly glazed marron glacé, a small detail that sums up the essence of what we do: tradition, care and added value to Galician gourmet products.
